Satellite Connection!

Well...well...it looks like we could
be without a source of electricity for the next seven days! %^/
The main switching station is down
and we are right next to it. Soooo...there won't be likely be any power
past here either.
I'm running on limited battery power
right now...so this will be quick.
We descended from Deurali today and
now find ourselves at Thadi Khola. We left Deurali around 4pm and
slithered down a rough and slippery path for about 1100m (3608ft)...and
now I'm having a cola by candlelight on the banks of a rushing river.
I just pulled a huge leech out of my
shorts that was feasting on my upper thigh. Lovely. %^]
I might not be able to do any more
updates for the next week or so, due to not having a power source to
charge the laptop batteries, but I should still be able to call into the
Loose Cannons on Friday afternoon (July 27th at 3pm PST). The satellite
modem/phone batteries are quite stout, so they might carry me through
until the next charging station?!
Time will tell...as it always
does...%^)
