The Silent Guardian at the Rancho Secret Spot
Baja
Episode 1 of our podcast is posted at
www.secretspot.tv ! Check it out!
Hmmmm...more internet follies. %^/
Hopefully I don't have any problems
connecting with the Loose Cannons in Los Angeles in the wee hours of
Friday morn?! Time will tell...
I managed to look at some email from
Chris...and he has posted a version of Episode 2 of the podcast for
www.secretspot.tv
for me to check out.
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to download it. Maybe tomorrow?! I'm an
optimist! =^)
Jill left me with 'The Bourne
Ultimatum' by Robert Ludlum. I don't usually make a habit of reading
that kind of literature, but the first few chapters are riveting...so
now I'm engrossed in it.
It's interesting to note that a book
that was published in 1990 makes only one reference to a cell
phone...one in a car. Do you remember when a cell phone was the size of
a 20 pound Christmas turkey?! I do...I had one. In the book, the rest of
the references to communication devices are pay phones. How things have
changed in such a short time. Innnndeeeedy!
A good portion of the book takes
place in the Caribbean. Reading about all the sand and ocean make me
think about the Rancho Secret Spot Baja...a place I've been neglecting.
My whale skeleton has probably melted in the intense summer heat of the
Sea of Cortez. Well...probably not...but the mangoes must be weighing
down the branches of the mango trees. The image I chose for today takes
me right there. Time to make some plans to be there...sooner...rather
than later.
Only a few more days and Dawa and I
will head out into the wilderness. The rain hasn't been too extreme...at
least in Kathmandu...so maybe we won't be wading up to our thighs in
leech infested waters. Maybe.
It will be good to get out of the
city and stretch the legs and punish the lungs. I can't wait...
