One of the Views from my Top Floor Room
in Kathamandu
The music drifts through the air like
smoke...clearly audible over the heavy rain. Thursday night in Kathmandu
is alive with Bob Marley and all sorts of other golden oldies, thanks to
a cover band that is about a block away. Towards the airport, I see the
whole city skyline illuminate with each flash of lightning. In the other
direction...Swayambunath, the Monkey Temple, the colour of aged gold.
Nights in Kathmandu are...sultry.
I've been slowly chopping away at
images and video today...and STILL swathing through 'Shantaram'. I think
I'm on page 400 and something. If the internet connection improves after
midnight, as it usually does, I might be able to upload the June
11th and 15th updates...as planned. We'll see.
Chris is safely at home in
Irvine...as is 'Seattle Alex'.
I'm quite excited to see Episode 1 of
the podcast for www.secretspot.tv
posted ...and that should be happening very shortly. I'll keep you
posted. I know that even if Chris misses Nepal...he is happy to be back
to a high speed internet connection in Califonicatia. I also know that
he is happy to be close to In and Out Burger as well. %^P
I'm hoping that people enjoy the podcasts as much as we enjoyed making them.
The rain is now pouring down in
buckets...while I eat fruit and drink Chai tea. It's about time. It was
awfully sunny and breezy today. Woe is the life of the Kathmandu
tourist. %^)
Back to the grindstone...
