June 26th: Chris' Last Day in Kathmandu

by Phill Michael

Phill and Chris at De La Soul

A quiet and sensible day in Kathmandu! I'm nursing my minor cough that I contracted AFTER getting back from the Everest Trek. I guess rather than being the Khumbu cough it should be called the Kathmandu cough. Endless lemon sodas will make it pack its bags and kindly remove itself from my body. Indeedy.

I'm reading an excellent book that Alex left me with i.e. 'Shantaram' by Gregory David Roberts . I highly recommend it...to anyone.

Chris' Thai Air flights have been confirmed, so he jets back to LAX tomorrow.

Chris' last dinner was at the Everest Steak House. There were flaming plates of meat, grilled fish and good times.

Prakash and his associates were good enough to join us and we collectively looked into the future. The planning for our 2008 Everest Traverse is ongoing. We need all the support we can get for such an endeavor...so the fun will never end.

It's 11pm...and I have a 5:30am wake up call so we can shoot the last of the footage for Episode 2 for the www.secretspot.tv podcast.

Hopefully I don't stay up all night reading 'Shantaram'...%^]
