June 9th: Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazar

by Phill Michael

The Terraces of Namche Bazar

A day of rest and acclimatization in Namche Bazar. We needed it. I spent the majority of the day in front of this laptop. We managed to pick up a few last minute items and enjoyed great food care of Puri and Gelu. Tomorrow morning (June 10th), I'll upload all sorts of stuff at the internet connection...have a hearty breakfast...and begin the hike to Tengboche.

Once we leave Namche on June 10th, we will be communicating exclusively with our satellite modem...until the end of this trek. In the unlikely event that the satellite modem doesn't work for us, we won't be able to communicate, at all, until June 23rd. Hopefully it will work flawlessly so that we can upload daily updates.

Time will tell...as it always does...%^)
